Sharon hails elimination of Hamas West Bank leader

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has hailed the elimination of Abdullah Kawasmeh as a "successful operation" carried out by the army for the security of Israeli citizens. Mr Kawasmeh was regarded as the most prominent Hamas leader in the West Bank. Israel holds him responsible for at least five recent attacks on the country. He was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on Saturday.

Mr Sharon announced that the elimination of Hamas leaders will continue as long as the Palestinian Authority does not act itself.

The Palestinian Foreign Minister, Nabil Shaath, called the attack on Mr Kawasmeh a "negative and horrible act". But he added that it should not prevent the implementation of the international road map to peace in the Middle East.

It's nice to know that Sharon has enough intelligence not to believe the fascist PA when they say they'll crack down on Hamas. Everyone else seems to think that they mean well, it's just that they're terribly misunderstood little Nazis.

Hamas wants to establish a sunni fundamentalist theocratic
state, presumably with bin-laden as the Caliph. If you
like bin-laden, you'll love hamas.
