Firefighter Watching Porn Points Gun At Wife
Pontiac Man Charged With Assault
POSTED: 4:39 p.m. EDT June 20, 2003
A Pontiac firefighter has been accused of pointing a gun at his wife when she tried to stop him from watching Internet pornography.
Lavoisier Washington was arraigned Thursday on charges of felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon. He was released on $5,000 bond.
Fire Chief Wilburt McAdams said he suspended Washington without pay following the alleged incident on Wednesday morning.
He also said he will try to fire the eight-year veteran of the department.

If only firefighting was illegal, this sort of thing wouldn't happen...

If he was in his own home, how could he be charged with carrying a conceled weapon?

Well, if it's in your house, then it's "concealed" from public view, right? ;)

Yeah but the wife felt like her husband wasn't interested in her. What's the point of being married if hubby goes online to address his sexual tension? And pulling a gun on your loved one is as stupid as stupid can be.

I thought this was going to be one of the Richie Aprille/Janis Soprano things. I don't know if I'm relieved or not.

" A Pontiac firefighter has been accused of pointing a gun at his wife "
uhhh, before we get carried away maybe someone should first determine which gun he was pointing. From Full Metal Jacket I see to recall something like " this is my rifle this is my gun ... "

Was he pointing a loaded gun at the back of her head as they were going at it like Richile Aprile and Janice Soprano on the show?? Now that's sick.

There was an article posted earlier today with many more facts than this one has. He was surfing porn in the same room where his several children, up to age 11, were sleeping. His wife had tried many things to try to get him to stop, and this time she "pushed him too far." Had we been there, we probably could have guessed that going for the modem cord with a pair of scissors was not going to have a happy ending...she was under some sad, equally childish illusion that she was married to an adult who would take this as a hint to change his ways.
One wonders--surely she wondered--if a man who surfs porn near his sleeping 11 year old daughter might not molest that daughter. Perhaps the scissors should have been aimed somewhere else? Nevermind, that's not what happened. He got his gun--another one of those sick morons who can own a gun in this society because the likes of US believe we have a right to own a gun. We do. I agree. But here you go: a case in point to the opposition that certain people mustn't be allowed to have one. Do not forget that when someone uses a gun this way, ALL of us are eased closer to that day when we may not own one for rational use. So, do we or don't we want the state taking away *his* right to own a gun? I personally at this point would rather take away his oxygen ration, but that's just me.
His 11 year old daughter had to flee in the middle of the night to a neighbor's house to call 911 because she believed (they all believed) their father was going to blow their mother's head off in her bedroom. And why expect him to stop there? Do these cases not end in many deaths, generally? If the mutton-head is drunk enough or stoned enough or mad enough to blow away a wife, surely he will then out of remorse blow away his children and himself. It happens so often. Do you not realize what a blessing it is to everyone that there is no death here? Real gun, real bullets--real knives, real scissors...it matters very little actually. Our system makes idiots far faster than it uses them up. And they marry, and they breed, and they have middle-of-the-night fights with guns, scissors, and children.
Now this cretin has a choice to make. He can realize that he has been a very stupid, very irrational man going down the wrong path...or he can believe the rest of the world is wrong and he is picked on. But any faith his children might have had in him is gone forever. He can't ever get that back. His wife might, stupidly and irrationally forgive him and forget--she made multiple babies with this manchild, after all. But his children will always remember what he did. Maybe they'll do better than he did. And maybe they'll do worse.

But the gun was only loaded sometimes. (She said, as she tried on her wedding dress.)

I couldn't respect Richie Aprile merely for the fact that he was living with Janice. You'd think a made guy could do a lot better. Those Apriles are warts.

I think the porn and the gun-waving and so forth is all simply symptomatic of the root cause of the problem here - the real problem is this guy, and the fact that he's a Grade-A, number-one a-hole, regardless of the particulars he used to express his basic a-holery...

The only thing more dangerous than having a gun, is being out of Estrogen and having a gun.
