Hillary is No. 1."Living History," Sen. Hillary Clinton's new memoir, will make its debut in the top slot of The New York Times best-seller list to be published Sunday.
The ranking, which was expected, is based on the flood of sales beginning with the book's much-hyped release June 9 through last Saturday.
Publisher Simon & Schuster estimated yesterday that the book sold around 600,000 copies through Sunday.
As a result of the demand, the publisher ordered a seventh printing of 100,000 copies on Tuesday, for a total of 1.6 million.
As a New York Times best seller, the book will continue to be discounted by many stores, further boosting sales.
The book deal is expected to pull in $8 million for the New York Democrat.
Clinton also helped David Letterman's "Late Show" score a rare ratings victory over NBC rival Jay Leno.
Monday night's broadcast scored the CBS show's highest ratings since March 31, Nielsen Media Research figures showed.
Letterman has beaten Leno in the ratings war three times this season.

Now the Times will call her "best selling author and senator."
This makes no sense. If it's selling so well why the discounts?
How about this:
We have to have an explanation why the book is heavily discounted, so here is the best we could come up with.
If a book is discounted by being on the list, why would publishers want to be on it?
What idiot wrote and edited this sentence? Shrillary! has already pocketed $8 million. We are just waiting to see how much of it that S&S have to eat.
