Gray Davis DNC Strategy - Recall
KRLA ^ | 6-17-03 | self

Posted on 06/17/2003 9:46:54 AM PDT by tallhappy

On Dennis Prager a seminar caller to guest host David Horowitz revealed a new Democrat propaganda talking point.

He called in to disagree with Horowitz on the recall -- despite Horowitz not saying he was against it.

The talking point he spewed was about the budget deficit. Here was the crux of it:

It was all a conspiracy between Ken Lay and his good friend George Bush. CA had a good economy when Davis took over and Bush and Lay purposely destroyed it via energy scams

OK, ludicrous. But, this will be spewed by the left and the like as part of Davis' defense and general smear of Republicans. This will be one theme along with Issa being a master criminal.

Earlier thread about Dem strategy is here, Davis supporters don't discuss him which outlines the smear Issa strategy.

Infprmation on Clinton and Ken Lay and their very close relationship is here, Clinton Enron Nexus Clinton Administration Procured Credit for Enron, Used CIA as Resource for Enron

That could hurt Bush, but doubtful since anyone who would buy it alreadys votes against Bush. It won't help Davis though. The state needs a leader, not a victim. We're not genetically wired to support a weak frail hurt victim as our Alpha Male.

I didn't necessarily support the recall...until Davis lashed out at anyone and everyone like Captain Queeg. That's all I needed to hear.

You are very correct sir.

In the San Francisco Comical this morning arose this quote in the story about the recall radio ad blitz....

"The fact that they are going on the air suggests that perhaps the turnstiles might not be clicking as quickly as they are saying they are, and that they need to do something to prime the pump," said Carroll Wills, a spokesman for Taxpayers Against the Governor's Recall. "Otherwise, why would you spend the money?"

And how fast are your turnstyles spinning honey???? Why doesn't she ask herself her own stupid-a$$ question? The recall at least is a legitimate process within legal means and with tangible ramifications. The anti-recall signature petition is just a lame brained way to spend $4 million in union money to try to counter all the bad press and to make the 23% (and dropping) of people in CA that like/can tolerate Davis feel better about themselves. Once they are all collected, what are they going to do with them? Recycle? Funny though, how you have not heard a peep about how many signatures the anti-recall has gathered....they only point out that there is no way the recall has gathered that many. Kinda like we all heard for the last year that there was no way the deficit was $8 billion...then $14...then $20...$30....now almost $40 billion.

All the talking head university political science types keep calling this process anarchy. Which I thought was defined by a lack of laws and government...and this recall process is actually IMBEDDED in the State Constitution....no bias with these folks.

I daresay that our current government is much closer to anarchy than the recall efforts.

Paging Garry South! Paging Bob Mulholland!

For those of you who aren't familiar with those names, here's a quick primer: they are junkyard dogs with no peers nationwide. They will do and say anything and everything to slime Republicans, and truth makes no difference to them.

They are the field marshals of the My Lai Left.

The dems can whine all they like because it won't make a bit of difference. And Red Davis is of course going nutz. He is seeing his political career go down the tubes. To think only a year or so ago he was possible dem presidential material. Nowadays he can't even get a cab in LA or SF. LOL The Dimwit Davis is toast. And the only thing we need to do is unite behind one candidate to run against Red Davis. I personally like Tom McClintok. BTW Horowitz is horrible as a radio talk show host. Stammering and stuttering away. http://www.recallgraydavis.com DUMP DAVIS!

Even if true (about a Bush and Lay conspiracy), Gray Davis still must bear responsibility for so eagerly signing a contract that gouged California. Davis' political paranoia was the reason he signed the state into a majorly bad energy deal. A competent Governor would have thought twice before signing such a deal.

My problem with recall is one rat and 5 Republicans---and the Gray man wins with 19% of vote----a possible ending

Carroll Wills is whistling by the graveyard. Davis better look in his rear view mirror because that bright light shining in his eyes is the recall locomotive that is going to run the moron right out of office. Bag and baggage. Period. End of sentence. We should reach the 900K goal this week.

not heard a peep about how many signatures the anti-recall has gathered

The busiest foot traffic point in occupied San Francisco is at Market St. and Montgomery. The anti-recall people set up a table to get signatures however they were quite lonely and sad looking standing there at ground zero. Davis just doesn't have any friends. If he came out as the homosexual pedophile that he looks like he might resurrect his popularity in San Francisco. Don't be surprised if he does similar tactics to save his job. He lusts for power at any cost.

I don't think you understand the procedure!

The ballot has two questions:

1. Remove Davis from office - Yes or No.

2. Who other than Davis would you have as Governor ---Name here

Davis name is not allowed as an answer to question 2.

50% + must answer question 1 with NO before Question 2 becomes applicable!

I was in Lucadia last weekend on my way to SD and there was a big arts festival with all the hippie/Santa Monica/SF types in attendance and one of the busiest guys was a guy for the recall...if he was getting signatures there from these folks, it is Game Over. All your recall votes are belong to us!

is one rat and 5 Republicans

Which is why we must try to convince the CA GOP to limit the field of candidates.

If they vote No on question 1 and then vote for someone on question 2, does that invalidate the ballot? If so Davis is completely finished since Democrats can't follow directions.
