Unbelievable. We're turning into a nation of wusses. Murder of a superior officer in the field during wartime has always meant summary execution. This waste of protoplasm should have been executed that night.

Let me offer that he will be convicted of two counts of murder and will be given a death sentence. The sentence will be reduced to life imprisonment in the name of international understanding. What they should do with this bastard is tie him to a chair, sit him in a tent and keep on tossing grenades into it until the proper sentence is carried out. I hope that race and religion won't be a factor in this case, but I fear that it will. Timothy McVeigh got what he deserved, Eric Rudolph probably will get the same, so what makes this rat any different?

Absolutely. There are very clear guidelines for this, and it would have sent a clear message to all concerned. It would have been an incredible boon to morale as well.

They should have impaled him at dawn in front of his unit.
