Last year, big businesses were targeted with the largest tax increase since Jim Florio was Governor. This year, smaller businesses are being targeted to help plug a huge budget gap.

Millennium Radio has obtained a copy of a Democratic sponsored Senate bill that seeks to raise fees on dog kennels, pet shops, micro breweries, and small wineries. The real estate industry is hit particularly hard, with fees doubled in 21-categories. Residential real estate analyst Ellen Souter says the fees will hurt realty companies across New Jersey. "It sickens me that no-one sat down to study this issue, and simply decided this is how were going to do it (balance the budget)," Souter said.

We now live in the era of gimmick taxes. Dem politicians are starting to learn that they will get voted out if they raise taxes that directly affect individuals. Now they just increase fees and taxes on business. When the cost of goods and services increases, nobody blames them and instead the rat politicians can turn around and accuse the companies of price gouging. It works out well for the sheep herders.

I'm an attorney in NJ and do a lot of closings. When a person sells a property they have to pay a significant "realty transfer fee" to the county-i.e. a hidden tax. When people ask me what a realty transfer tax is, I explain that it's the price for electing democrats (although in NJ I should also include RINO's.)

That's a good one, how true.

Is this fee shown on the HUD form? When was this tax approved?

Yes, it's on the HUD. It's a fee charged to the seller. The rates are about to go up dramtically. McGreevey thinks it's safe since property has appreciated so much. He figures sellers shouldn't complain too much. I'm not sure when it was enacted, but it has been around since 1990 when I started practicing.

As a business owner - not in Joisey, thankfully - the solution is to cut government expenses and spending, NOT raise taxes. Libs and dems just don't have the basic brainpower to understand such a simple concept.

Seems he likes to hurt the working class, the very people who helped him get into office.
