Where is "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel. Better song and understandable lyrics!

There are still people out there who appreciate craftsmanship in music which usually involves more than 3 power chords with no solos.

Bach wrote better music than rock will ever produce---but if you appreciate rock for what it is, which I heartily do, you've gotta love a clean, simple 3-chord song.

The Ramones are the biggest influence in the History of Rock and Roll next to the Beatles. The Ramones started the whole thing.

Gabba gabba hey!

I did get around to listening to “Mock Tudor” and I agree it’s a pretty good record. Ironically I never had to buy the CD, I got to listen to it online with my iTunes subscription. They did not have that in 2003!!

Can you believe this was over a decade ago?

BTW, here’s an album from 2009 that is just killer. ~My World~ by Lee Fields & The Expressions. It sounds like a lost hit R & B album from 1965:

Boys of Summer is a GREAT song. Not on the list? That is a mistake.

That album was awesome. “She’s filing her nails while they’re dragging the lake...”

Of the top 10, the only one I would voluntarily listen to would be the Nirvana song.

Tom Petty was IT for a very long time. My first exposure to Tom Petty was at a party across the street from another party. We could hear the beat if not the vocals from Breakdown playing over there. I NEEDED to hear that song. Boom. Loved his stuff for many years.

The Ramones started the whole thing.

It would be more correct to say The Ramones RESTARTED the whole thing!
