Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.

We ask Lord, that You guide the leaders of our great country in their hour of decision. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decisions.

Please give us the strength, Lord, to get through each difficult and devastating day that faces each of us and our country. Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Good morning. It's raining in South Carolina but still a great day. Thank goodness for Free Republic - changing the face of politics in America.

Absolutely. I may not agree with everyone on all of the threads that I read, but other opinions tend to put my beliefs into perspective.

Most importantly, it has made an activist instead of a complainer out of me. I have attended rallies, FReeped politicians and have written many a missive to the powers that be.

All in all, we have a great conglomeration of personalities and beliefs. I love this place that JimRob built!

JimRob is a genius who can never receive too many congrats. Having lived previously in CT, I felt my viewpoints were never allowed a public forum. What a joy to find FR when we moved south!

I've learned a lot on FR and even when we don't all agree, there is a singleness of purpose that unites us - exposing the liberal bias and hypocrisy and supporting the conservative viewpoint.

Don't short-sell yourself. What you do is extremely important.

Cynthia McKinney made the large mistake of gerrymandering .45MAN and I and a few other activists into her district before the primaries last year. In addition to our FReeping one of her "Town Hall" meetings last May and making the local news, FreedomPoster and Guillermo recruited .45MAN and myself to phone District 6 Republicans and urge them to take advantage of the right to crossover primary voting that the state of GA allows. It worked. Mckinney was ousted during the democratic primaries last August in a tremendous sweep in favor of her opponent. I had to literally hold my nose when I asked for a democrap ballot (LOL) while voting, but it was worth it. We knew a Republican would only have a snowball's chance, so we did the next best thing.

All of this was organized through Free Republic. We have met some super people in and around GA because of it.

Cynthia McKinney was an extremely worthy opponent. Good for you. She is a piece of trash and I can't believe she was ever elected to begin with. But it was a different world several years ago.
