COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY '04 --
516 DAYS TO RE-ELECT PRESIDENT BUSH

Welcome to the First Victory '04 Countdown Thread to re-elect President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard B. Cheney on November 2, 2004!

In these initial stages of the 2004 campaign, we have a great opportunity to lay the groundwork for victory and communicate President Bush's compassionate conservative message across America. This Victory '04 Countdown Thread will be providing information for Freepers and other groups at the Grassroots to organize and take action in the days ahead, helping President Bush as he works to grow our economy and keep America strong.

We are including a daily section of links (with excerpts) to articles/editorials on the President for you to use in spreading the positive message of this Administration. We also would like you to post on the daily threads what actions you or someone you know have taken to support Victory '04.

President Bush and his team have worked hard to accomplish the goals set forth by the President in his Inaugural address but there is much work left to be done. The President's Agenda changed on 9/11 -- Homeland Security became the #1 priority for Americans and this Administration. Even with all on his plate, including the recent Iraq war, President Bush was able to get a Tax Cut through a divided Senate to begin the rejuvenation of the economy.

This 2004 election is one of the most important in our lifetime. America is at a crossroads -- do we want to return to complacency in foreign policy and tax and spend domestic policy under a Democrat or do we want to continue to move forward on foreign and domestic fronts with the reelection of President Bush?

The answer is obvious to the vast majority of us -- President Bush and his Administration need FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Now we all must take the steps to make sure that everyone in this Country gets that message! We cannot afford to become complacent and believe poll numbers! Each of us has to work like we are down in the polls until the last polling place closes on election night to achieve VICTORY '04!!!!

*************************

ACTION ITEM FOR TODAY!

Join with us as we launch the Daily Countdown to Victory '04 by going to Bush '04 (link below) to sign up as a volunteer, donate, and/or add your name to their mailing list! This election is about America's future and the future of our children.

TODAY'S LINKS !

A Thank You Note

(excerpt) Mr. President,

I am writing to you, as a mobilized reservist, to express my appreciation for your courage and leadership as Commander-in-Chief. In the face of tremendous pressure and even outright opposition from both home and abroad, you have maintained your resolve and kept your oath to defend America and all that she stands for. Along the way you must have endured many moments of loneliness and self-doubt, but in the end you did your duty. You did the right thing. Thank you. (end excerpt)

Sending Signals (Oklahoma Editorial, 3 June 2003)

(excerpt)

CONVENTIONAL wisdom had it that President Bush would use the European leg of his current overseas trip to mend fences with traditional U.S. allies there who opposed the war against Iraq. Many thought Bush and French President Jacques Chirac would make up, closing a rift between the two countries marked by American boycotts of French wines and cheeses.

Well, let's just say you can still get a little whine with that cheese. . . .

This fits with what we see as Bush's general pragmatism on foreign policy, a results- oriented view that will see the U.S. cultivate alliances of the willing in place of traditional ones.

At the same time Bush is signaling there will be accountability in relations, that breaking with the U.S. will not be free of cost or consequence.

Bush doesn't appear to be out to punish France or Germany. But he's letting them know they can't thumb the United States in the eye and expect things will be just as they were -- a useful new facet to U.S. foreign policy. (end excerpt)

U.S. Actions at the G-8 Summit

(excerpt)

“Today our alliance of freedom faces a new enemy – a lethal combination of terrorist groups… outlaw states seeking weapons of mass destruction… and an ideology of power and domination that targets the innocent and justifies any crime. This is a time for all of us to unite in defense of liberty, and step up to the shared duties of free nations. This is no time to stir up divisions in a great alliance.”

President
(end excerpt)

In the upcoming democratic primary (2004) ...

BIG AL NEEDS OUR HELP! - Register as a democrat and vote for Crazy Al!

Rev. Al Sharpton is officially running for president in 2004.

During the May 3, 2003 demoncrap debate in Columbia, S.C., our man Al stated “The way to move a donkey is to slap the donkey,” and “I’m going to slap the donkey until the donkey kicks”.

Let’s help Crazy Al slap the donkey until it kicks.

Assume GW has the Republican nomination sewn up. Its time for all good republicans, libertarians, and independents to stand up and be counted. Lets take a page from Sen. McCain’s play book. Prior to the 2004 democratic presidential primary in your state, re-register as a democrat and vote for Al Sharpton!

Wouldn’t it be great if Crazy Al won! At the very least, lets ensure he gets prime time speaking rights at the 2004 nationally televised democratic convention. You gotta love it. Line up, sign up, and send this to all your like-minded friends.

Check here for the rules governing primary voting in your state:
http://www.fec.gov/votregis/primaryvoting.htm

In case you’d like to send Big Al a donation:

Anyone need a bumper sticker or button?
http://democraticbuttons.freeservers.com/

How about an Al Sharpton yard sign?
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/victorystore00/pryasi.html

Oh yea, and don’t forget to call the local demoncrap party headquarters and ask them the following before the primary election:

1. Can I get a ride to the polls – help them spend their money during the primaries so they’ll have less during the national election. Have them take you the scenic route and stop off and do some shopping on the way home.
2. Are you giving anything away free for voting democrat? Cigarettes, box of cigars, box lunch, etc. Ask for two of each.
3. Send 25 cents in the mail to the DNC and watch how much they spend on mailing you to give to the party. Always send their solicitation back to them with all associated literature in the prepaid envelope included in the mailing. They have to pay that postage upon return. Great way to help them spend money and keep you up to date on their propaganda.

Democratic National Committee
430 S. Capitol St. SE
Washington, DC 20003

Main Phone Number: 202-863-8000

Can you think of any other questions we should ask them?

I thought this was a great "funny."

The Pope is visiting Washington DC and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac. While sailing on the President's Yacht they are admiring the sights.

All of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water. Secret service agents start to launch a boat, but Bush waves them off, saying "Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry."

President Bush then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over and picks it up, then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.

The next morning, the Washington Post carried the story, with front page photos, of the event. The banner headline is: "Bush Can't Swim!"

Greatest team is right!

When I watched the news conference this morning from Jordan, had the feeling that this time Peace in the Middle East has a chance. IMHO, it is because the President has taken decisive action in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as other parts of the world to confront the terrorist.

Believe our Country is truly blessed to have George W. Bush as our President at this time in our history along Richard B. Cheney as our Vice President!
