You know, this sounds strange, but here it goes. I do remember that at first, Mr. Byrd didn't seem so hostile to GWB! I'm going back and forth between theories. One of them says that after impeachment, someone did something to Mr. Byrd.

He's an old man, I know. But I'm wondering if he has health problems, or something in his past haunting him. And the "powers that be" at the top of the Dem party know it, and are propping him up; and putting him up to this behavior.

The other one is that could it be possible that he's acting this way, and being so obnoxious, in order to keep a lib Dem. from winning? Maybe he's pretending to go along with the 'upper crust', in order to keep them from pressuring him? Maybe he's trying to keep the Clinton's(by Hillary) from getting in again. And supposing he's secretly going along with the Bush Administration, so he's being really obnoxious in order to embarrass the DNC?

It's funny, but my Mom said something one time that tickled me. She said that Mr. Byrd was "just an 'old Democrat'. She said it as if she knew how they could be! She probably knew some 'old Democrats' in the past among family members or acquaintances! But it was sure cute how she said it, so knowingly! (she's 76)

There's got to be a reason, other than senility that's making him act so hostile all of a sudden to the Bush administration! GWB won in W.Virgina, for heaven's sake! I don't know, I'm really going out on a limb now; my imagination is getting away from me, but humor me please! ;)
