Phillips didn't slant the story, Zarrella did. Phillips only offered an incredibly LAME defense of the fraud committed by Zarrella. Note how on Monday Zarrella tried to take it all back. He wouldn't have done it had LaPierre not EXPOSED his FRAUD.

I used to work at CNN. It is entirely possible, and in fact quite probable, that the excutive producer of her show ran right over to the anchor desk the moment this interview turned combative, in order to make sure she got the hint to defend Zarella at all costs. By the end of the interview, there were probably several other higher-ranking execs standing next to the EP, and other execs in the control room screaming into her ear to end the interview and keep backing Zarella.

I Sure wish FOXNEWS--especially O'Reilly---would run with this one. CNN needs to be taken to the woodshed (along ith their ratings). PLease contact them and put the pressure on!

All the more reason to take CNN out to the wood shed and let Richard give it to 'em.

Of course, the pursuit of TRUTH has no place in this likely scenario.

"I sure hope O'Reilly or Hannity picks up on this CNN FRAUD story

They won't touch this story as it will create a cable news war. Remember what happened when Arnett got canned and FNC made light of it. Weeks later MSNBC was touting how Geraldo got expelled from Iraq...

Newswatch is pretty impartial regarding accuracy in reporting. CNN also has "Reliable Sources" but I haven't seen their program.

Here is what they were probably yelling:

"STONEWALL! STONEWALL! STONEWALL, DAMN IT! END THIS INTERVIEW...NOW!!!"

LAPIERRE: Kyra, let me say this to start: I'm glad you ran the story because apparently the only difference between "The New York Times" and CNN is that when a reporter for "The New York Times" fakes a story, he's fired, and at CNN he's not.

Firing w/ both Barrels form the start

It'll never happen with O'Reilly. He is pro gun control.

Now if I was a pro-ban type I would go after ALL guns with this type of information. (So..there is no difference in the guns except for cosmetic.....). I imagine that that is what they are ultimately trying to do.

I just saw O'Reilly firing at Robert Scheer and the L.A. Times over their unquestioning acceptance of the BBC report that the Jessica Lynch rescue was staged. Check the rerun later. O'Reilly was really FUMING.

Anyway, I hope he gets as worked up over the FRAUD perpetrated over at CNN. I hope Wayne LaPierre contacts O'Reilly about this story.

That is what I am afraid these Yutzes are up to as well.
Im really not that upset about not being able to buy a gun with bayonet of some of the other RAMBO crap. Limits on magazine sizes is an annoyance,But if these jerks ever try to ban by caliber Im gonna be livid.

Beware of the erosion of our rights!!

This story should get as much attention as when NBC committed FRAUD by blowing up the gas tanks of GM pickup trucks to prove how "dangerous" they were.

That story ran on "Dateline" when Jane Pauley and Stone Phillips hosted the show. I missed the original airing of the fraudulent "demonstration" but saw Stone Phillips' apology live on the air.

Stone looked like he was having his teeth pulled as he was saying 'sorry'.

Say what you like about the NRA, but clearly, Wayne LaPierre has some stones.

Way to go, Wayne. I'm going to get current on my NRA membership, despite the economy.

Indeed - Bravo, Wayne! A true patriot, and supporter of our Constitutional rights.

Times are lean for me too, but my NRA membership is the only affiliation of its kind that I maintain. It's that important to me, and should be to everyone.
