Thankfully none were seriously injured. But the devil made me tie this to KKK Byrd and his many pork items to WVA - guess he missed the constructions unions!!

Ouch. Marshall looks like a fine old school with an interesting history going back to 1837 when it was still in Virginia; see http://www.marshall.edu/www/aboutmu.asp.

But stay off the decks!

Also, didn't they have a mass tragedy several decades ago when their football team was killed in a plane crash?

Free decks for all WVA residents from Uncle Sap. A crash program is needed.

Robert Byrd has soaked the working people of America to rebuild evrything else in West Virginia, I'm surprised that he hasn't provided the money to build a top of the line deck on this house.

If you will take the time to peruse the Citizens Against Government Waste $22.5 Billion in Pork Report for 2003 , you will find the following entries for the old Kluxer, Robert Byrd.

$7,115,000 for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

$75,872,000 for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

$13,589,000 added by the Senate for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

$34,900,000 added in conference for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

$20,915,000 added by the Senate for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

$51,950,000 added by the Senate for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

$39,913,000 for projects in the state of then-Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)

The total in pork extracted from the paychecks of working class Americans, by this old geezer amounts to $244,244,000. (just during the current session of Congress)

The building codes on decks were changed a number of years ago after that one in Atlanta collapsed. But his one looks like it predated the changes.

But then what most Americans know about quality construction would probably barely fill a thimble...
