My late father was a member of the marine color guard who guarded Senator McCarthy's body at his funeral and carried the coffin. At one point, Mrs. McCarthy became so disturbed by sneers and comments from the vicious press corps sitting nearby that she approached my father. He said, "Maam, I can assure you that no one will touch him with us here." He was a decorated Guadalcanal, Pellelieu, Inchon, and later, Vietnam veteran, but I believe it was his greatest moment, standing against our enemies within. They have smeared the memory of a heroic senator who stood against one of the greatest menaces in the history of the world.

And if you don't believe they are still at it, yesterday CNN had a historic blurb, "Former Italian prime minister Aldo Morro killed by terrorists on this date in 1978." They softened murdered with "killed" and used "terrorists", rather than "Red Brigades," the vicious organization that tried to bring Soviet style terror to Italy. They don't miss a beat or a trick, and still love their communists. I really need to get my wife to quit watching CNN.

Please don't do that. We all need to know what the other side is spewing. And it sounds like your father was a wonderful person, definitely worthy of honor and respect.
