Why he is so enamored of this deal is beyond me; perhaps Boortz is right in that he's trying to cover for his ill chosen words.

I have news for Mr. O'Reilly. Every year at the high school I graduated from, there is a formal event called the 'Black Ball'. It is a school sponsored event and is for only black students.
