Boortz said as much on his page - I've given up on O'Reilly. He's a moron.

Bill O'Reilly is a drunken, Boston Irish liberal, masquerading as a "populist". He is irrelevant, as the demise of his radio program has shown.

And if I ever hear him talk about the "Factor Gear" again, I'll probably self-destruct. Who in the hell would want to wear anything with his name on it? Other than perhaps a condom?

I thought O'Rielly argued on some pretty solid ground, in that the party was planned on school time, in the school, which would make it against the law.

O'Reilly is full of used food. The party was a private party; not only that, the governor of Georgia has much more pressing issues - like providing the rest of us Georgia taxpayers with a freakin' budget!

If O'Reilly truly wanted to cover a problem with the state goverment here, he could focus on the fact that the Legislature and Perdue wasted the entire General Session this year on the damn flag and didn't pass a budget. Now, we, as taxpayers, are stuck having to pay for a special session so that we can have a state budget.

But noooooooo....

Bill O'Reilly finds it easier to act a damn fool and personally attack people over the last three days - Perdue, Perdue's press secretary, and now Neil Boortz (mind you, Neil showed Bill for the idiot he is, and Bill, instead of taking the high road, showed his ass).

Bill has lost it. I'm washing my hands of him.

especially not the constitution

No doubt. As much as I disagree with Boortz about legalizing drugs, I do respect him for sticking to the constitution. To bad our elected leaders don't.

If the "hubcaps" thing is about a crack he made about a singing group, then despite my ambivalence for O'Reilly, I must defend him.

There was an old song back in the early 60's, I think it was called "More Money for You and Me." It was one of those "funny songs" and it satirized rock and roll. One part of the song goes something like "...out in the parking lot there's Dino and the Belmonts stealing hubcaps off of cars."

I'll bet a dollar that O'Reilly was thinking of that song.

I take it you've never heard Mr. Boortz talking about Christianity. To put it politely, he no friend to the Religious Right.

I don't have a problem with his views on hyper-religious folk. And before you ask, yes, I'm a Christian, and yes, I've been a Boortz fan for 9 years.

I agree. O'Reilly is dead wrong on this one, and he won't let it go. I can't believe that there are still people in this country who believe that a group of people doing something in private is wrong. Who cares if they have a whites-only prom! The last time I checked, just about every major college has a Black Student Union ...... even at majority black colleges and NOBODY is complaining! The people who claim to be the "anti-racists" are usually the ones to stir up the trouble to begin with.

There were numerous "black only" parties held in the area and in the Atlanta area. This has happened in every community in the South for decades.

Indianapolis has Black Expo every summer, there is black history month, Black Congressional Caucus, and on and on and on.

I sometimes feel like we shouldn't be sitting here typing back and forth to each other but we should be writing the media, congress, etc. I am so sick and tired of the left wing, media led, double standard in this country that I am beginning to get very cynical.

It has gotten to the point that I have to titrate the amount of Newsmax, FoxNews, Free Republic, Rush, etc that I watch/read/listen to. The elapsed time I go through from calm to wound up is getting shorter with each passing Rat I encounter.

This is getting series, I'd better go take a shower!

LOL...yeh, it's not too good of a host to curse a guest; usually it is the other way around, if it happens.

Boortz can be a vicious SOB. He admits that he has taken a deep personality problem and made a great living out of his decision to do radio.

Check him out at: http://boortz.com/ Neal is a trip.

I also wouldn't make a big deal over this crack.

But one has to wonder about the timing of his remark (being fearful of a PC attack) and his aggressive attack on some high school kids in Georgia and its governor. Could it be he's just using this for cover?

I'll still watch his show when I get the chance but I'll be more objective of what he says.

I stopped posting Boortz commentaries on FR when I saw other Freepers, women, who were verbally abused by him when calling in. He has blown stories out of proportion himself-the Somali in Maine-was one of his main target pieces and some of his reporting was inaccuate. I try not to listen to him and turn the dial.

gunnedah asks:   "Did O'Reilly call [Neal] Boortz a Son Of A Bitch?"

Yeah, but so what? One's a self-admitted Libertarian and the other's a closet libertarian. They deserve each other.

I wasn't talking about hyper-religious folks, I simply said Christianity. Or are you saying that the Religious Right are hyper-religious?

I listen to Boortz regularly, and Im so born again I have 2 belly buttons. (corny I know).

He's right about the separation of church and state. The state has been trying to do the church's job for too long, that's why we have the welfare state and these ridiculous taxes.

Yes, I think he's a little hypersensitive to the religious control freaks trying to legislate theology, but they're few and far between and nobody takes them seriously anyway. He's certainly not opposed to a public standard of goodness, and a safe environment where kids can have a childhood.

But a lot of his 'over the top' talk is just schtick. It gets great callers sometimes! Plus Royal is funnier than anybody else in radio. It's a very good show.

Oh, I've heard him. Since the early 70's I've heard him off and on in my life as I lived in Atlanta. But my comment was more of a political nature than anything else. The fringe Religious Right gets on my nerves at times too, but that's for another thread.
