modern women (feminists, womens studies graduates) do not know how to raise men from their boys. The "me me gratification" generation fails to understand how much developmental behavior depends on modeling. Parents must assume homoseuxality is a learned behavior because to assume otherwise is neglectful to raising a child. The push to normalize deviancy has eliminated anything to deviate from.

My sister-in-law took in a foster child from a family such as this. The mother was a drug addicted lesbian who sold her body for drugs. The state gave the baby back to the mother when she got out of rehab. That happened several times before the state refused to allow permanent adoption by the foster mother.

actually it was a 10,000 dollar bond but they were able to post a cash value of 10% of 1000.00. Some states allow the cash equivalent instead of using a bondsman.

I agree with you that the case needs more exposure. I was just making the point that this type of abuse/favoritism is not limited to just homosexual mothers.

Truly, these women are terrible human beings, and I hope they are judged extremely harshly. My heart aches for these children. The media wishes to ignore anything negative regarding their "special interests". I do not know how to combat this, other than suggesting you contact the local media or emailing FOXNEWS.

This is why I vote down every and all social tax issues in my community.

I figure if there was less money available, there would be more work done to out of fear of losing their cushy jobs.

If memory serves, the two deviants who raped Eric Dersching (sp?) to death were granted bail and made it.

I have yet to see anything other than anecdotal evidence to suggest homosexuals ARE GOOD parents. As foster parents, they should be forbidden.

Gypsy Rose Lee wrote extensively on the horrors of living with her Lesbian mother. Didn't know that, did you.

Another little block out.

The feminist movement wishes to remove motherhood from the face of the earth. As a mother of a young boy, my heart aches for the restrictions that will be put upon his normal, boyish behavior, being taught that men are evil. Perhaps raising both of my children in a traditional two-parent, heterosexual household will combat some of the lies that the pc public is trying to teach him.

Looks like it got local media coverage. This kind of stuff happens everywhere. Such stories, where the kids are not hurt or killed, rarely make more than local media.

It's not a blackout. Frankly, stuff in Akron is rarely of interest to anyone outside of OH. I've been there. Won't be back.

at the turn of the century before no fault divorce, on of the tactics women used to use to secure advantage in a divorce where there was no infidelity on the husband and custody was in jeopardy was to accuse or threaten to accuse the husband of homoseuxality to demonstrate a danger to the children. (ok run on sentence but working a posting today)

I sure hope so, PYW. Another thing you might consider is home schooling, since children seem to learn much more from peer groups than they do from their parents these days.

It is a scary time to be a parent today.

"It is a scary time to be a parent today. "

Respectfully its always a scary time to be a parent. Its even harder to have the "media and elite" saying its better to do it alone. In the future we will worry about what our kids are doing with their internet implants. (are they really internet implant brain linked to freerepublic.brain or something else and how can they listen to THAT "music")

Respectfully, at one time people could trust their neighbors more, at the very least because they tended to be related to them. Now that we live in a "global society," we are all isolated, usually thousands of miles away from family and others who share our values. Today, you either have to isolate your children or accept that they will be adopting the values of their peers, which are generally not traditional middle class values.

So yes, I do think that being a "good" parent is harder today than is has been in the past.

you are preaching to the choir. I believe there is a concerted effort to diminish the ability of traditional parents to teach responsiblity to children. Parents used to be able to say I taught my child right. Parents used to be able to say this is the right thing to do even if nobody will ever know you did the right thing.

Now we ahve to tollerate school courses which violate consceiences of morality (homoseuxal "tollerance" from GLSN for example) Whe have hatred spewing from venimous feminists like Martha Burk. But I am no ready to dispair. Sometimes its a simple as teaching a child to ask "why?" believe me parent's lessons stay even if you are not there.

My point above, sorry for being toung in cheek, is that we as parents can not predict what children will encounter. (locking them in a barrel and feeding them through a hole is not an option as much as I would like) We can only predict what we will teach them. The family unit may be under attack but it has not collapsed. Years ago odds were you would never travel beyond 50 miles from your home, now we do that every day. There will alway be those who want an "alternate" life style. We just have to make sure that children know that "alternate" is alternate for a reason and fraught with problems and definite negative consequences.

If you need to ask, you would not understand.

Oh, he(?) understands, all right. Look at where and how he(?) posts, and you'll see the agenda.

My grandmother told my mother, "I wouldn't want to be raising children in today's world."

My mother told me, "I wouldn't want to be raising children in today's world."

And, I know I will say the same to my children. However, I truly do FEAR what the future will look like, for my grandchildren. But, I suspect that the human race will just continue marching on, whether or not we protest.

Yes, the human species will survive, I don't think anyone is disputing that. Whether our progeny will be living in a civilized society under the rule of law, or will be living through a new Dark Ages, remains to be seen. I do think that there are some who are realizing that separating themselves from the maddening crowd is the only way to go.

But, you have the Dark Ages and the Age of Enlightenment... etc. The world enters darkness and then enters the light. It seems that there is nothing new under the sun, and evil has always shown its ugly face. Perhaps the only difference today is that there are more people on the planet, who can create more harm... and that the media sometimes shines a spotlight on it, for all to see. At the same time, religion is becoming less important, and traditional values are being thrown away. My husband reminds me that the Roman Empire was fraught with debauchery and that man must always fight his sinful nature. I do not know the remedy to the situation. I just know that I am one parent who is trying to remain aware and well-armed.
