TUPELO — The Tupelo school district wants more minority teachers, and it has formed a minority recruitment committee.

"It's important to us to recruit top-quality teachers," Assistant Superintendent Jimmy Williams said. "We have a lot of minority students. It's important to have minority teachers to be positive role models for the students."

Some day ...maybe...top "quality" will be defined by the "content of a man's character" rather than "the color of his skin".....

But not today......

If MS public schools are 53 percent black, it makes me wonder how Haley Barbour can be elected governor without getting some black support. And nearly all blacks are voting the straight Democrat ticket.
