These photos are of Jackson, TN and of the Middle TN area touch downs. THe Jackson tornado was an F4. Dyersburg had 3 touch downs one was an F3 one an F1 they didn't say what the other was.

More weather expected tomorrow.

I've heard that the next several days are going to be filled with "severe weather". So far, we're doing ok in Kentucky but my kids are mighty nervous.

My in laws arrived in Kansas over the weekend. I'm sure they're fine, but they haven't called. My husband was trying to get ahold of some relatives tonight, with no sucess.

Thank you for the photos.

My son-in-law works in Jackson. He never got into the city this morning--he was turned back by emergency personnel. He thought it was worse than the one in '99. Now we know it was. An F-4 is devastating. I wonder when the businesses in Jackson will be able to operate again?

So many dead -- it's just awful. The county my daughter lives in was hit hard, too, but her area was spared. (Hardemon County).

I can't believe the destruction in Jackson--the police station; the Federal Courthouse; the Pringles factory; many many other homes and businesses.

All those people down there, and in KS and MO, need lots of prayers.

I graduated from North Side in '76. Lived in Belle Meade on Channing Way. How about you?

Actually, I didn't go to school there. Lived there for a while after finishing school, before heading off to Texas in the 80's. Always enjoyed it there, though.

I'm in Jackson. What spared the area here I don't know. The power just came back on here around midnight. I am just getting to see the pics for the first time here on the web (thanks GailA). I'm located between Denmark and downtown and have never experienced a storm as violent and terrifying as Sunday night. By the time it woke me all I could do was go to a windowless room and hope the building would hold up. Even areas not close to the path of the tornado had very high winds and unusually large hail

I was supposed to drive from Memphis to Jackson today. I was to install some software that allowed the plant to connect to our office over the internet. Since the ISP was one of the buildings destroyed, this has had to be postponed. I am just thankful that the death toll was as low as it was for the amount of destruction.
