Democrats (MI) Seek Donations for Secret Fund

LANSING -- Gov. Jennifer Granholm and the state Democratic Party are asking corporations and unions to donate $25,000 to a new political fund intended to help get their message across to voters.

The names of the donors to Partnership for Progress and most details about how the money is spent will be kept secret, Democratic Party Chairman Melvin "Butch" Hollowell confirmed.

As long as "campaign finance reform" is in the hands of those who most benefit from the donations, we will never have real reform. Fox guarding the hen house syndrome.

Gee, I thought John McCain fixed all this for us. Wonder if Charles Keeting, his benefactor, will be contributing to this fund as well?
