ABC Admits Reporters Target Republicans

If you're wondering why the media establishment screams long and hard when Republicans say something politically incorrect but virtually ignores the disgraceful rantings of Sen. Patty "Osama Mama" Murray, Rep. Charlie Rangel, Rep. Marcy Kaptur, Rep. Jim Moran, Sen. Robert "KKK" Byrd and so on, ABC has a confession to make.

Yes, this is the same ABC that pays millions of dollars to its anti-American foreign anchorman, Peter Jennings, so he can drive millions of viewers away to cable news. (For a look at Jennings' astonishingly biased coverage of Operation Iraqi Freedom, check out Media Research Center.)

Here's a fascinating item today on the overhyped Santorum story from "The Note," a column by ABC News' political unit: Mark Halperin, Marc Ambinder, David Chalian and Brooke Brower.

"Could anyone deny that most Washington reporters tend to move more aggressively to bring down Republicans in trouble than Democrats in trouble?

"And could anyone deny that Democratic operatives work harder to build the kind of relationships with journalists that pay off at times like these?

"And could anyone deny the causal connection between the phenomena described in the previous two paragraphs?

"In any event, it's pretty clear that a Democratic party, which still is trying to figure out what it does well with its current array of personnel, is exercising the same muscles that allowed it to score point after point in driving Trent Lott from the leadership," the four reporters write.

If even ABC can't deny that, we certainly can't.

Just part of the landscape. The lamestream media strews landmines, then mocks the conservatives for being so foolish as to step right on them. However, they keep a very intensive sweep of these same mines, posting cryptic warnings to the left as to where not to go (not that the liberal-left is much good at picking up these hints), and rescuing those who do stumble into unfortunate situations.

You would think someone at ABC would eventually catch on that this left wing tripe doesn't sell and that's why Fox is enjoying a ratings boom.

What is their new slogan? The network everyone trusts? Or something like that.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, I'm sure Tom Dashole is deeply saddened that someone has admitted the obvious.

I could not nor would I ever waste my time going back and reading ANYTHING jennin's had to say past, present or will never watch in their future. He is a loser and so is ABC, CBS and NBC, They are on their way out and no matter what they would ever say, I would never watch them.

We have watched FNC since its inception and it has more credibility in it's little finger than all theree of these networks combined. Real journalism...fair and balanced.

Uh-oh.
What did one of the ABC weasels do that they don't want publicized so badly that they're admitting to targeting Republicans?

Since we're bashing the media, let's not forget NewsMax.

This was reported in the second hour of Rush's show today.

I've never SEEN an original post from NewsMax.

Democratic operatives work harder to build the kind of relationships with journalists that pay off at times like these
Journalists have rules to follow:
"if it bleeds, it leads"

"there's nothing more worthless than yesterdays' newspaper"

So journalism is negative towards the people/institutions upon whom/which we-the-people depend. That's because you can't ignore a story headlined, "Is your drinking water safe?"

And journalism hypes today's news exactly as if whatever was exciting about what happened yesterday was the most interesting thing that happened since the Titanic sank. Since that is hardly ever the case, journalism is superficial.

The combination of negativity towards what's important to the country and superficial lack of perspective makes journalism inherently anticonservative. Don't ask why journalists follow liberal politicians, look at the fact that liberalism is simply the easy way of sailing with the propaganda wind of journalism. Journalists and liberal politicians are interchangeable parts.

I concur; I'm extremely wary of most of the stuff NewsMax posts. It's straight out of the National Enquirer, Globe, or the Star. Free Republic, World Net Daily, Conservative News Service, or Real Clear Politics have more credible sources IMHO.

Well....the headline is somewhat misleading. The network admitted nothing, nor somebody officially acting as a person in charge of the network.

It is only statements by a couple reporters in their little website political column.

It is significant in one way, but also not a major statement.
