Although I've been continuously employed since 1996 (I took a voluntay year-long sabbatical from work in 1995-1996--because I could afford to do so), many of my friends are out of work and/or severely underemployed. Many of them are highly talented, highly trained, and have years of experience. I hope your new job is a good omen for my friends.
