There was an interview in the Guardian a while back .. they interviewed Ian Smith in Harare. He was asked the usual questions and his answers mostly ignored. The interviewer's main conclusion was that Mugabe's actions or excesses weren't important, the fact that he was an African was all that mattered.

Liberal Black elected officials from New York recently went to Zimbawe to study Mugawbe's techniques. These are the same folks who have been taking Washington and Jefferson out of their schools because they were "racist slave owners."
