1 July of 1975 - VMCJ-1 was disbanded, VMCJ-2 became VMAQ-2 and VMCJ-3 became VMFP-3: VMFP-3 got all the RF-4Bs and VMAQ-2 got all the EA-6As. Q-2 didn't start to transition to the Prowler until February of 1977.

BTW, there is no longer a single monster-sized VMAQ squadron. VMAQ-4 was forced to give up their "Seahawks" logo, too.
