And, and we have a terrible track record as far as our military leading to democracy. Look at Panama, look at Nicaragua. It's not, it's not in our best interest for some reason to keep it going." Does Germany, Japan, and Italy count?

Does Germany, Japan, and Italy count? My thought, too. And, what about Panama? Say what you will about our chummy relationship with Noriega in the early 80s, he had gone over the edge. He had to be stopped. Since then, Panama has been in good shape. Nicaragua? We were never allowed to go in there.

Last time I checked, the maxist-Sandanistas were gone from Nicaragua & the dictator-Noriega was sitting in a Florida prison. I think our record is pretty good in those specific cases.
Tim Robbins and his ilk are always prepared to dismiss a large success by pointing to some small failure in detail or, as in this case, something they regard as an inconsistency. They don't want Justice or Truth, they'd rather have Fairness. The only way to maintain complete Fairness, as they define it, is by political oppression.
