$675 Million Man Kerry Gives Needy Kids Cheap Picture of Self for Charity Event
Rush ^

Posted on 04/14/2003 6:03:14 PM PDT by rs79bm

Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA), the richest man in the Senate with a net worth of $675 million, doesn't believe in sharing his winnings in life's lottery with the nation's charities. This puts one in mind of the Algores, who gave a piddly $353 to charity in 1997. In the name of "helping the poor," these people vote to confiscate your paycheck, but they won't put their money where their mouths are.

The Boston Herald reports that Kerry made a donation to a fundraiser for Holy Name Parish School in West Roxbury - an 8 x 10 autographed photo of himself which sold for $18. I guarantee you that the Kerry people totally forgot about this charity event because they just didn't care about these kids. They care about getting into the White House, and that's all. How egotistical and heartless. How selfish. How out of touch.

This from Washington Whispers:

When Sen. John Kerry's donation came in for Boston's Holy Name Parish School spring auction, organizers expected something special from the multimillionaire Democratic presidential candidate. After all, fellow Sen. Ted Kennedy gave a personally designed print, and Mayor Thomas Menino offered dinner. Kerry's gift: A signed 8-by-10 photo. What gives with the cheapo gift? Associates whine that Kerry gets 36 auction requests a week and not everything can be great. Thanks for helping the kids, John.

Ketchup Boy Kerry and his wife are worth hundreds of millions.

This very creepy, narcissistic, strange pseudo-person has proven himself to be completely lacking in character and ethical traits: unfit for the Presidency or elected dogcatcher, a perfect Massachusetts democrat.

If Mortician Kerry had even the hint of a sense of humor (he does not) he would send an autographed ketchup bottle.

Typical rich liberal position....they want to do "good work" with the taxpayer's money -----NOT THEIR OWN..

Perhaps it's a case that since Kerry recently "discovered" he is a Jew -- his concern for a Catholic charity has declined...

What the hell is it with these leftist democrats -- "discovering" their Jewish roots..... so late in life ---- just before an election?????

Hey y'all. He's the perfect candidate, capish? All our bases are Kerry's. He's the perfect demo candidate, in my humble opinion.

W1! God Bless America, and God bless our fighting men and women!

He couldn't donate his Vietnam service medals.

I believe he hurled them at some government institution when he was protesting LBJ's war.

Guess he didn't feel all that guilty (like he'd like the rest of us to feel) about people without medical care and food.

Our family has had an amusing time over recent years as we have created 'the profile of a liberal'. We have fun matching the character traits (or lack of) to all the liberals we know. 99% of them have all the same traits. One is selfishness with their own money. Sen. Kerry fits perfectly as one of our characteristics within the profile is someone who talks about doing good...but in reality, they do little, if anything.

I've been informally watching the disparity in giving between democrats and republicans for a decade, now.

It never fails. compare any Democrat with his Republican counterpart and the Republican outgives his opposite by many hundredfold if not thousandfold.

I first noted this disparity when Jimmy Carter's charitable giving was contrasted with Ronald Reagan's.

I generally learn of these comparisons in the syndicated liberal media sources first.

This time is an exception.

Now, Who really cares for the needy?

Hooyah!
