The defense of Geraldo on here was mind boggling Perhaps it boggled your mind, but many people saw a reporter that truly loved the troops. He's back..who will you blame now?

"...true embeds..they look like the soldiers..."
That's true. Gerry acts/looks like one who is trying too hard to fit in, but just can't quite make it. His bits are boring!!

Fox wants to be know as fair and balanced, but I think they also need to be known for honest reporting. We already know Geraldo made up stories in Afghanistan. If Fox wants to be believed then they have to have believable reporters. Geraldo has lost his credibility if he ever had it to start with.
Fox needs to dump Geraldo for their own good.

What a waste of skin that man is and all my liberal friends keep telling me that he is one of the smartest presidents we have ever had. Where's the proof????Hahaha... all your "liberal friends"?
Liberals walk into polling places and vote for big government to confiscate more and more of YOUR money.... Some "friends".
This "Clinton was smart" thing is a myth. What I mostly remember is that people didn't want to take their kids to Washington to see the White House anymore.
A few years ago when my son was in 8th grade his school had an assembly about the Olympics. During the assembly they showed a film and the film included a brief cameo by Clinton. At the sight of Clinton, most of the kids in the auditorium cracked up in laughter. My son noticed one stunned teacher standing in the aisle say (mostly to herself), "Well, he's done some good things, too."
Sometimes all you can do is shake your head.

(Okay. Big assumption.)

I sent a letter to MSNBC too. Olbermann's slur denigrated our soldiers, who, I'm sure, didn't want to be videotaped shaking Geraldos hand, while claiming "The joke is on Geraldo, these soldiers had just put their hands in something disgusting before they shook Geraldo's hand."

This isn't the fist time Geraldo's closed with a prayer. he showed a bunch of servicemen the first week, that were about to go off to battle, and the Chaplain lead them in prayer, asking that please guide us, in the Name of the Prince of Peace," VERY overtly Christian prayer. I couldn't believe it...it was the first prayer like that I've ever seen on prime time TV, and it was for-real, not staged, and Geraldo was so respectful.
When I saw that, I forgave Geraldo...I think he's trying his best to overcome his nature and reputation.

Come on folks, I can't help but think Geraldo genuinely wants to support the troops. He's got a massive ego, but he's no worse in that regard than O'Reilly.

I understand that... I find him annoying and naive, but in the light of what's happened he should just be given a vacation and let things simmer down.

I think it's silly that they ignore the elephant in the living room too. That's why I think he should just quietly step aside and let everything blow over for a while. Kinda like jimmy swaggart stepping back up to the podium after his ridiculous "I have SINNED" speech where he laid it on real thick and figured that was penance enough to return to a position of leadership.

did Fox give him a signing bonus or a guaranteed contract or what? There must be some overwhelming financial reason why Fox has not canned this Embarrassment yet.

He's just a sleazy opportunist. Some might praise him for being behind the troops, but he just saw which way the wind was blowing after 9/11. Any opportunity for Jerry to get in front of a camera, I guess.
