Anyone else hear that Rummy called member of Congress into a unusual meeting at the end of the week to discuss this situation?

Our troops give so much of themselves, and we all benefit from their efforts. The next time you look at your bank balance, why not find some way to take some money and put it towards supporting the members of our armed services in some way? Maybe find a family who has someone serving, and buy them dinner, or some groceries, or a gift for their children? Maybe find a way to contribute to a fund for the memory of any of those who have fallen? Our armed forces deserve our support in tangible ways.

Bush likes historical models. He can use the Taliban model for Syria. Once the connection between Saddam's regime and Al'Queda is proven and the CIA gives us conclusive evidence that Syria is protecting them we can demand Syria extradite them to the United States for detainment or face invasion. Obviously this will put Syria in an impossible situation -- cower to America and accept their insignificance in their own region or fight and lose all they have. I truly hope the placement of the 4ID is for this purpose and I hope the two carrier battle groups are making a move into the Mediterranean.

If Syria really is hiding 50 of these leaders, I would be calling Special Ops at least..

"Anyone else hear that Rummy called member of Congress into a unusual meeting at the end of the week to discuss this situation?" Do you know that he discussed the Syrian situation? I know he had a meeting but I don't know of anyone who mentioned what the meeting was about. Can you confirm?

We already have two carrier groups in the Mediterranean. They've been there the entire time, flying missions into northern Iraq through Turkish airspace.

I can say for sure if it was all about Syria.
It could have been about the Russians nabbing the Iraqi Secret Police documents as well.

It would be a shame to send our supply of MOABS all the way to the Mideast and then not have anything to use them on.

And Debka's 'Secret Ultimatum' to Syria could be the battle plans being drawn up at the Pentagon reported in yesterdays New York Newsday.

These Arab countries still don't get it. One or two more need to be stepped on before they learn the lesson, "don't mess with the U.S. of A., or you will seriously regret it."

Maybe 2 for Syria and 2 for France? :)

I agree with you,
and I wouldn't mind seeing
Syria destroyed.
But I wish someone
had left them some kind of third
option, something where
they did what we want,
but somehow looked uninvolved.
Still, they dug their grave...
