My name is the result of an inside joke from school. It's also a play on words. Hapax Legomenon is a mistake made be ones master. You don't dare claim he has made a mistake. Instead you admit he has invented a special case or useage just this one time.

Thus my mis-spelled name is what it is.

Thanks anyway. Most people don't notice.

Exactly. Preemption should be a key part of our strategy.

Here is historical justification:

"Operation BRAVO
A generation ago, the White House was gripped by reports that "Red" China was preparing to build its own nuclear weapons.
It called for the United States to prevent the People's Republic from building a nuclear weapon by launching a secret attack against a weapons plant in north central China.

The plan was vetoed on the urging of the State Department. China went forward with its nuclear weapons program, exploding its first device (right) at its Lop Nor test site on Oct. 16, 1964."

"Soon after the Soviet Union exploded its first nuclear bomb in August of 1949, the United States decided it needed to learn more about the types of weapons its enemy was building."

------

If we had gone in and bombed their nuclear facilities AT THE BEGINNING in a PREEMPTIVE strike, we could have avoided 50 years of cold war. Just think about it!

THIS is why we had to take out Iraq and all other rogue nations supporting terrorists and building WMD.

I think a MOAB demonstration for the Syrian border patrol on some Iraqi intransigents is in order. Just to send a "friendly" reminder that we have bigger bombs than their "human" suicide bombers could ever dream of.

Of course, what it really means is a single instance, said of lexical items that show up exactly once in the extant classical works, and by extension any canon.

Oh, boy, this is really going to PISS OFF my liberal friend....she was talking about the special done by, not 60 minutes, but another one of those shows, describing how this all started back in about 1991....and how the Hawks are in charge (which she is fearful of.) Of course, she's a Canadian, now naturalized American, who thinks we should listen to the rest of the countries of the world, i.e. Canada, France, Germany, et al....and not have them turn against us. Me, I talk about LEADERSHIP, which is what this is all about, as well as fighting off the enemy.

LOVE this plan! I hope they accomplish their objectives for the world. It will surely reshape the world for the better.

Ah, but I think there's more to this than meets the eye. The fall of the Soviet Union has created a power vacuum, and vacuums tend to get filled.

Russia, China, France and Germany would have liked Saddam's regime to grow. They had been nurturing it along for years, hoping that America would express a lot of fluff and bluster, but not really do anything about it. The R, C, F and G plan of nation building had the vision of a stable mideast under the iron grip of Saddam Hussein. A Bathest empire would be much more preferable than a Wahabbi empire. The US vision of nation building is to create a democratic alternative to the Bathest empire.

It appears that America is winning the first battles in the proxy war between the American and European struggle to fill the Soviet Union vacuum.

Anyone want to bet that there won't be other proxy wars between America and R, C, F and G?
