French President Jacques Chirac, who led a portion of the Western world in opposing the Americans' war on Iraq, said today his country is "rejoicing" in the apparent collapse of the Iraqi dictatorship. In what many Americans and others see as setting new standards in hypocrisy, Chirac said, "France, like every democracy, is rejoicing over the collapse of Saddam Hussein's dictatorship, and hopes for a quick and effective end to the battle." CNN reported that the Italian newspaper La Republica editorialized, "[T]he countries that opposed the coalition war are ready to muscle in and demand a piece of the Iraqi pie."
FrontPageMagazine.com columnist Guy Milliere, in a Mar. 31 article entitled "France is Not a Western Country Anymore," writes that most French politicians "regard Western civilization as something filthy and abhorrent." He continues, "If you read the newspapers, it's the same... Their party line is clear in reporting on the personalities found in the present Middle Eastern crisis... George W. Bush? a "moron" ... Ariel Sharon? A fascist who loves to kill Arabs. Arafat? A great freedom fighter. When an American general speaks, it is merely propaganda, but when Tariq Aziz pontificates, it is pure truth. Almost everyday you hear anti-Semitic remarks... "The anti-Semitism has created a threat to the physical safety for French Jews. Almost every week, some Jews get mugged, simply for being Jews. Almost nobody pays attention to it. When an anti-Semitic act is so disgusting it is impossible to hide it, journalists will speak of "confrontation between communities"
"And Jews are not the only victims of France's new identification with radical Islam... Policemen do nothing. Every decent person knows the problem is Islam, but no one dares to say it... "One year ago, a French Muslim decided to create a new business [instead of Coca-Cola]. He found a factory and started to produce Mecca Cola. On the label, he put a picture of the Al Aqsa mosque, with a large part of his profits would help to support the Palestinian cause... A few days ago, another Muslim businessman announced he will start to sell Muslim-Up. It will have the taste of Sprite or Seven-Up, but it will be a Muslim drink - and naturally the profits will go to the Palestinian jihad as well. Three radio stations in France are Muslim radio stations, dedicated to broadcasting the voice of hate and racism all day long
"...six million Muslims live in France, at least ten per cent of them are radical Islamists poised on the edge of violence. And these radical Muslims have allies on both the extreme Left and the extreme Right. France is not a Western country anymore, it is now the leader of the Arab/Muslim world. Israel has to know France is its main enemy. The United States has to understand they have nothing to expect from today's France except nastiness, treason, and cheating."
P.S. Air France has announced that due to the significant drop in profits on its Paris-New York route, it will be ending all Concorde supersonic flights as of this fall, after 27 years of service.

Where do all these destitute muslims come up with the $1,000 + it takes to pack their belongings and show up on France's doorstep? I think they are being funded by an islamist group that seeks to invade and ultimately overthrow the west through immigration and babymaking.

1) The pay them all welfare, so their money can go to such projects; 2) the Saudis underwrite a lot of it and 3) the "honest" Islamic charities support them.

My wife is from France. Most of her family still resides there. She has been telling me the same thing for years.
Apparently due to a "flood" of Algerians.
BTW, she says her relatives in France have been appalled and angered at the way Chirac turned his back on the U.S. recently.

What a culture shift! "Islamic prostitute" is an oxymoron, isn't it? What would that do to the wine industry?
No boose. No sexual promiscuity. Doesn't seem likely, does it?

Look at the resolute determination on the face of this powerful leader. His jaw set, eyes fixed on a distant goal as his gaze pierces through the mists of time toward a dream of French-Arab world domination!
At this point, Chirac sings:
"My name is Jock Chirac,
My name is Jock Chirac
My name is Jock Chirac
My - name - is - JOCK CHIRAAAAAAAC!"
(REPEAT)
Impressive, no? Oui, oui.

It wouldn't matter if the Islamic Jihadists represented only 0.001% of the French population...
The feckless imbeciles in France would still surrender....
We need to become comfortable with the new scenario... France is now our enemy... ENEMY.... ENEMY....
Get used to it..

Exactly. Prague is a beautiful, old European city. And Budapest is very romantic --- in addition to good food and great wine.
