That's good news that she's sitting up in a chair.

Bet this girl's marriage prospects have gone way up. Even my brother-in-law who is a committed bachelor made the comment that he would reconsider for a girl like that!

Because of all the hype that Hollyweird wants her story, it figures that the gory details make for a better movie. I do thinks that Americans are concerned that our female soldiers might be subjected to rape. OTOH, considering the proclivities of many Arabs, we should worry about our men there as well (Don't forget "Lawrence of Arabia", and "Midnight Express").

Actually, you are reading it exactly the opposite of how I intended it. I can see how your read on the post could be made, however. I'll make an improvement to it. Thanks.

blah, blah, blah. You're the only one responsible for your own actions, Dower. The ad wasn't THAT misleading.

What part of this statement

If, after doing so, you still have a buck or two to spare, then consider helping fund FR by making a small donation.

Don't you understand?

If you didn't know we're having a fund raiser, perhaps it's you who are confused.

The rest of us understood exactly what you meant. Of course, most of us weren't looking for something to carp about.

Is this better? I wanted to add to our rotation of fundraiser posts one to remind people that our troops deserve our support.

Attention!
Our troops give so much of themselves, and we all benefit from their efforts.

The next time you look at your bank balance, why not find some way to take some money and put it towards supporting the members of our armed services in some way? Maybe find a family who has someone serving, and buy them dinner, or some groceries, or a gift for their children? Maybe find a way to contribute to a fund for the memory of any of those who have fallen? Our armed forces deserve our support in tangible ways.

If, after doing so, you still have a buck or two to spare, then consider helping fund FR by making a small donation.
