The Sheep Have Been Laid Off
The sheep that ate their way along Public Service Company of New Hampshire powerlines have been laid off.
The utility has not renewed a contract to have flocks of sheep back this summer.
The company says the sheep did a good job controlling the weeds, but under deregulation, the utility may have to sell the powerlines.
It was an experiment to see if sheep were more efficient than using mowers under the power lines.
