Lynches to visit Jessica

The parents of Pfc. Jessica Lynch will be flying out of Yeager Airport from West Virginia's capital this afternoon.

"The governor will not be in the airport at their tentatively scheduled 1:30 p.m. departure time," said Amy Shuler Goodwin, the governor's spokesman. "The governor has helped clear the way for the Lynches to make this trip."

Goodwin said Friday evening Gov. Bob Wise is obviously aware of the monumental occasion this will be for the Lynch family and has done everything to help them reach Germany to be with their daughter. Since Wednesday, Jessica Lynch has been in Germany at Lundstuhl Regional Medical Center, where she is receiving medical treatment. She has spoken to her parents on several occasions since landing in Germany. The reports indicate she has been in good spirits.

It is unclear if her brother and sister will be on Saturday's flight.

A security officer at Yeager Airport indicated the plane would leave by executive air out of the state hangar.

"At this time we are not sure if the plane will be a military transport or the governor's private plane," said the officer, who did not want to be identified.

looking forward to her someday being feated at the U.S. capitol. Would like to see our great president introduce her to the senate and congress in a joint session and watch them all stand and applaude her very presence.
