SEN. JOHN KERRY of Massachusetts is too serious a politician to be saying the kind of things he said in Peterborough on Wednesday. That was the sentiment of some political observers. Then again, maybe Kerry isnt as serious as is widely believed. Just because the U.S. Supreme Court made a decision in its selection, and an error in its decision in the year 2000, doesnt mean we have to live with it for six more years, Kerry said of President Bush.
We expect such bitter remarks from Al Gore, who never was serious about anything other than getting elected. But we expected more from Kerry. Doesnt he believe in the U.S. Constitution, which empowers the Electoral College, not the populace, to elect the President?
What we need now is not just regime change in Saddam Hussein and Iraq, but we need a regime change in the United States, he said. Ugh. This joke was old months ago. Cant the Democrats leading presidential candidate get some new material? Besides, it isnt funny. It invites a sort of grotesque comparison between Saddam Hussein, a dictator who gained power with bloody hands, and President Bush, who was elected through a constitutional process.
I believe we can have a golden age of American diplomacy, he said in reference to what he called Bushs failure to solve the Iraq problem by having an ongoing series of conversations with diplomats at the United Nations. Such a naivete is scary coming from a man with a legitimate shot at the White House. Much of the world considers U.N. diplomacy as a means of restraining United States power and damaging United States interests. Bush is savvy enough to recognize this reality. Kerry obviously is not.
Kerry is sounding less presidential every week, which must make Joe Lieberman, Dick Gephardt and John Edwards very happy.

Sorry for the stumble. I was hoping that another liberal Massachusetts Democrat would get the 2004 nomination.

SEN. JOHN KERRY of Massachusetts is too serious a politician..... Whoa......
What is this, fiction?
To: billorites
He's a mental midget.
If he wasn't porking the ketchup queen, he wouldn't have the cash he uses for self-promotion.
His theme song should be "Just A Gigalo".

"...doesnt mean we have to live with it for six more years..."
Is Kerry advocating an immediate overthrow of the current U.S. Government? 6 years?
THINK ABOUT IT! Especially after his last comment encouraging revolution: "...but we need a regime change in the United States,''

His actions during the Vietnam War established his mindset and it hasn't changed. A leopard can't change it's spots. He is a flaming liberal and an enemy to our constitutional republic.

"...doesnt mean we have to live with it for six more years..." Good news - even the Dem candidates expect Bush to be re-elected. :-)

Kerry? A serious politician? I hope he's looking for a new future as a stand-up comic.

I agree, it's not looking good for Kerry. But the Democratic Convention is in Boston so he will be on friendly ground. He might still get the nomination. Also remember that campaign finance reform is really gonna hurt the Dems -- but Kerry has the deepest pockets.

Pat Buchanan admitted that he is dumb as a post?

Since this treasonous snob came back from Viet Nam and led demonstrations that aided and abetted our enemies while wearing the uniform of the US Army, he has had a special, reserved place on my $hit list.
He just endowed his chair on that list.

"He might still get the nomination."If God loves the Republicans, as I believe He does, then Kerry will get the nomination.
