It's not Stalin's Russia anymore, and there's no going back. Let Sazhi Umalatova (a Chechnyan name, BTW) bleat on about the paradox of Juchi self-reliance while taking up collections for her starving Marxists.
The pendulum is already swinging our direction, judging from editorials I've been reading in Russian. Be wary of opinion polls, the average Russian is great at keeping his head down when the river is flowing the wrong direction.

Appearances can be deceiving, Putin has not exactly been what can generally be called a friend. For the Russian population sake and the world's sake hope that Stalin's Russia is gone and buried. Time will tell.
Considering that Iraq was Russia's mega cash cow, it won't take much to have the masses upset with us when that cow goes dry.
North Korea's population doesn't have a clue about the outside world, they do well to eat once a day.
Too many Americans take for granted how well they have it and too many of us have given up freedom to the seduction of socialism. "I FEEL YOUR PAIN".
