PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (AP) Regardless of how successful the United States is in waging war against Iraq, it will take a new president to rebuild the country's damaged relationships with the rest of the world, Sen. John Kerry said Wednesday.

Kerry spoke briefly and answered questions from voters who packed into the Peterborough Town Library basement to hear the Democratic presidential hopeful's views on everything from education to the economy. But much of the focus was on the war, and Kerry's criticism of President Bush's diplomatic efforts leading up to it.

Kerry is an idiot. What he really means to say is, "The world will want an American President who will apologize for winning a war against terrorists".

Shows you just how sad the field of Democrats are for the 2004 General Election when they are speaking in the basements of Libraries, but then again where do you expect "rats" to hang out but in a basement!

Kerry: New president will be needed after war

Read: Now that a Republican president has cleaned up the mess left by the last Democrat adminstration, it's safe to elect a Democrat again.

He also said he looks forward to appointing an attorney general who reads and abides by the constitution of the United States

Especially the part of the Constitution which specifically authorizes abortion and the part which says the 14th amendment allows racial discrimination if it's labeled "affirmative action".

[/sarcasm]

Kerry would be perfect as the new President of the Iraqi Republic. He should go there and begin campaigning immediately.

Oh yeah. This is the other talking point. The first one was "talk about this after we win."

They are banking on President Bush becoming George II and seeing his poll numbers go into the basement with the economy like his dad.

Man, are they ever dumb. (Hillary must be running the show..)

I suspected that this would be the Rats approach. Praise Bush as a great wartime leader, while emphasizing that now that the war was over, a more diplomatic President is now needed.

''Because of the depth of this breach, because of the anger that exists with many countries and their leaders ... I don't think they're going to trust this president no matter what,'' Kerry said.

President Sheridan to Commander Ivanova: "You have a face people trust."

Commander Ivanova: "I'd rather have a face people fear!"

Kerry appears to have read one page of the democrat's playbook.

JFK for President...Kennedy, that is.

After forty years, he's rested, he's ready...and he's still got more brains then John Kerry.

"'I believe we can have a golden age of American diplomacy,''"

IOW: "I believe we can become just another socialist country and no longer be obvioulsy the most successful nation in world history, then everyone will like us because there will be no reason to be jealous of us...........of course, I get the keep the money my wife got from her former (er, Republican) husband."

Last time I checked Johnnie boy, they don't have a vote.
