U.S. Rep. Steven Buyer, R-Ind., was back in Washington Tuesday but still answering questions about why he ever left in the first place.
He was granted a leave of absence from Congress March 20 after telling House leaders he had been called to serve in Iraq.

He was a Lt Col in the first Gulf War over a decade ago. He claims to have memory loss as a result of the first war. Maybe he forgot what year it is, and thought he was still activated.

I just heard Rep. Buyer on the Greg Garrison show. He said he had all his gear packed. His daughter stood over it and looked it over. Steve asked her if she knew what this means? The teenager replied, "you're donating all this to a museum?" Got'ta love our youth!
