American POW Jessica Lynch Rescued in Iraq
(CNSNews.com) - U.S.-led forces rescued 19-year-old Jessica Lynch from behind enemy lines in Iraq on Tuesday, according to officials at the U.S. Central Command headquarters in Qatar. "Coalition forces have conducted a successful rescue mission of a U.S. Army prisoner of war held captive in Iraq," said Brig. Gen. Vincent Brooks in a brief statement. "The soldier has been returned to a coalition-controlled area." Lynch, a private from Palestine, W.Va., had been missing in action since March 23, when she and other members of the 507th Maintenance Company were attacked by Iraqi forces after taking a wrong turn in Nasiriyah. Commenting on the rescue, Central Command spokesman Jim Wilkinson said: "America doesn't leave its heroes behind. Never has, never will."

It is amazing what the spec ops guys can do. Like finding a needle in a haystack. My heart goes out to all of the other POW families, it has to just break their hearts that it wasn't one of their own. That and it sounds as if about 11 families have just received the worst news they can imagine.

Jessica Lynch has come along at a time when America needs heros and heroines. As Shakespeare said, "This world is a stage, and every man must play his part".
Various people have been crossing the world stage lately, and we have seen Americans, even some in high places, giving aid and comfort to our enemy. It has been a painful thing for me to see, for just because, we Americans, are not out parading in the street, or grabbing at microphones, we can still think for ourselves. For most of us, we know that America is not perfect, but still we are the best nation on earth.
I have prepared a list of Americans who have been very bold about giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and I consider them to be traitors to our nation.
Martin Sheen, the West Wing,
The Dixie Chicks,
Natalie Maines, who is the lead singer,
Madonna,
Susan Sarandon,
Michael Moore,
Tim Robbins,
Peter Arnett,
Dianne Feinstein, unAmerican behavior said, September 2002, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., upon returning from a European trip, said, "As an American I've always been proud. I have a [U.S. flag] pin. I was embarrassed to wear it." I consider it doubly serious when word like this come from a Congresswoman from California.,
Robert Altman,
Dustin Hoffman,
Sean Penn,
Spike Lee,
I consider all of these to be shame names in America. These names are in pitiful contrast to Jessica Lynch, and to the others who would give their lives, so that we and the Iraqis can be free. They have offered their lives for us. Americans should let these people know just what we think of traitors or those who give "aid and comfort to the enemy". We have the right to be indignant.
