FWIW, women were NOT authorized in combat roles PRIOR to Beel Klintoon becoming the commander in chief.

Does that tell you anything - anything at all?

Jessie and Sharpton have already tried to play the race card in this war.

Guess what?

They were slammed (and slammed hard) by the statistics.

That's right.

Blacks fighitng in front line units represent a lower number than their national average in the general population.

Jessie and Al had to shut their traps.

Women should not be in harms way in the military. This is bad for morale. No special treatment. They now know our weak point.

Much I despise the Impeached one, this is not strictly true on two counts. One they still aren't allowed in ground combat units, and two, they were allowed in combat zones, although not in combat units or slots as they now are in many non-ground combat slots, such as Patriot Fire crews, Pilots of all sorts, AWACS and JSTARs cres, etc. The outfit that PFC Lynch was a part of was a repair unit for Patriot missle batteries, not a combat unit.

No special treatment.

Who says she is getting "special treatment"? This was not the first POW rescue attempt, just, AFAIK, the first sucessfull one. We even treat wounded Iraqi's, military, civilian or Saddam's thugs, so getting sent to the hospital for her wounds is hardly special treatment.

I heard this at the post office this afternoon, and people there were rejoicing! Each and every one of our military and their families are precious to us.

What a contrast to the Hussein regime that forces its people under duress to die for him (but his family are exempt and can leave), who hide behind their mothers and children and Peter Arnett, who shoots civilians who are trying to flee, and glorifies suicide bombers.

With thanksgiving to God!!

I had chills run down my back when I heard about this. I worried about this young soldier and the cruelty she faced as a POW.

Thanks be to God and our heroic military.

My heart aches to be with you my brothers.
