TUBA CITY, Ariz. (AP) - In this wind-swept town on the sprawling Navajo reservation, an American flag flutters near a trailer home and a swing set moves in the breeze. A stream of solemn visitors silently pass by yellow balloons and signs offering support.

"The spirits are there and the angels have gone to keep her safe. Don't worry. We love you," reads one poster taped to a chain link fence.

Inside the home are the parents of Pfc. Lori Piestewa, who has been missing in Iraq since last weekend. The 23-year-old Hopi is the daughter of a Vietnam veteran, the granddaughter of a World War II veteran and a source of pride for Tuba City as one of the very few Indian women in the military.

You and me both. Imagine how the parents of these POWs must feel - I'm getting too old.

All
Remember, they are being strong, so we have to be strong.

Prayer will keep them safe.

I'm afraid the media exposure has made much of this a LOT more personal for many of us. When they showed Pvt. Keihl's picture, I remembered him from the story regarding his Baptistism before battle. I said to my husband, "Oh, I know him" - but I only know him through the news stories. Then to see his wife, all eight months pregnant of her waiting for his return, it nearly undid me.

All of them, they are all human beings, and they do not deserve the fate they are being handed at the hand of the enemy. None of Saddam's victims deserved their brutal treatment. I want us to kill Saddam.

I think we have some additions to the prayer threads, if these ladies aren't there already...

"I can't stand this". Neither can I. Does anyone know if the Red Cross or Amnesty International have seen our POW's and checked out if they are okay? They were sure in a big rush to check out the prisoners at Gitmo where they knew the prisoners were being treated better than they were ever treated in their lives and the Americans wouldn't kill the Red Cross folks. We're praying hard for these American men and women.

They have been trying to contact the regime, but they get no response.

God help them. I have daughters close to that age.I can't begin to imagine how their families must feel. I pray that they are all safe. My instincts tell me differently. So sad that it hurts my heart...

Have you noticed that the POWs look a lot like AMERICA.... Native American, Asian American, Black American, White American, Hispanic American and so forth.

Please God watch over them and bring them home to US all.

Not good enough! They were all over the media demanding to see the detainees at Gitmo - screaming loudly. I don't hear a damn thing from them about our American P.O.W.'s now. They should be stating, and the liberal media should be reporting, all over the place, that that can't check out these American P.O.W.'s. I am truly disgusted!
