Mig 31? I don't think so. It is stategic weapon.

Translation: MiG-31s cost too much for Turd World countries to buy enough to be useful.

They are carriors for supersonic anti-ship missiles.

Good, the F-14 community wants to splash some bandits.

And they are great interceptors. Very good against low-speed flying bombers.

How would they do against the fighter sweep PRECEDING those bombers?

Superfan 1: Bears Team bus vs. Indianapolis 500 champion Emmerson Fittapaldi?
Superfan 2: Would Ditka be driving da bus?

Boy, Russian stupidity sure can speed up the end of a slow work week...

What If Iraqi Army Had Russian MiG-31 Jets? (Pravda)

I would be a little more concerned if their airforce had them.

I always make a point of leaving an airshow before any Russian planes take to the air.

MIG-31's are very nice. However, they wouldn't outclass our frontline fighters.

And if Iraq did have super fighters, you bet we would have rushed an order for 100 F-22s to help take them out.

Why does the Iraqi Navy use glass bottomed boats? So they can see their Air Force

Wait a minute: The Iraqi Navy is in Iran now?

If the Iraqi army had several regiments of MiG-31 jets . . .

. . . they'd be smoldering wreckage in the desert, shot down by pilots with far better training...

...in jets with far better maintenance.

I think, based on the above pictures, that the Russian planes would be doing most of the flaming.

Since when does their army fly airplanes? Wouldn't it be their airforce?

I never saw that last picture before. Note to Russian aviation. In order to sell aircraft, you have to prove their worth. Crashing a plane in most every major airshow doesn't do that.

And they are going to take off and land at what air field?

Pravda maybe hasn't heard but "All their base are belong to us".
