::LOL:: What a great poem!

It's true, too - I think there are days that hubby prefers the dog over me ::grin::

I saved the poem, will send it off to some family members who will really appreciate it.

Thanks!
LQ

Since the Dolphins are smarter than humans, if they didn't like what they are doing. They would swim away!

That's what I've been saying. They are not being held captive.

I have watched the Navy working with Dolphin off the west end of Shelter Island in San Diego. It is an absolute hoot to watch the dolphin following the Navy trainers in a Boston Whaler and jumping in and out of the boat (it has a cut down side so its easy for dolphin to get in and out).

The "relationship" between the trainers and the dolphin seems to be based on mutual respect and shared fun.....contrary to what Peta may think.

You don't understand how we use them. You line them up side by side and point toward the horizon. You tell them that just over the rise is a little old lady who has spilled a cup of McDonalds coffee in her lap. They will quickly clear the area of mines the hard way.

Peta does complain about the dolphins and whales in the tanks.

If these Navy Dolphins didn't like what they are doing, they would just swim away.

I see them very much like dogs. They like humans and like being around them.

Only the Islamofacist financed Peta freaks would complain about Dolphins locating mines. If those mines explode they could kill a lot of critters in the ocean around them.

PETA = Wacko Watermelon Jihadists in America!

Help yourself, Grampa. I can't take credit for it -- I myself copied it off of FR some time ago. I also have a different version, somewhat, er, less nice. I just put it in the same subdirectory on my website. $:-)

Check back at http://www.joebrower.com/PHILE_PILE/PIX/IRAQ2003/ in the next day or so -- I'll be putting some other graphics in there fairly soon. Public domain for all.

The left uses human shields. The right uses fish shields and big friggin' bombs.

Actually they wanted to use human shields but they couldn't seem to find any.The Iraqi's used them all up somehow.....

Why are we spending time trying to train animals that have lives and minds of their own to try and carry out these tasks for us? That just seems a little archaic, not to mention unreliable," Boyles explained.

I'm so confused. First PETA tried to tell me that dolphins are smarter than humans. By a good 10% or better. Now Peta is telling me that dolphins are unreliable. What to believe? What to believe?

Actually, dolphins are so reliable that studies have shown they can tell the difference between lead and gold through echo location alone, though they still prefer fish to both. And maybe a little squid with a side salad.

Can anyone tell me why PETA is singling out the dolphins and not trying to save the sea lions and belugas that the Navy is using(though not in this conflict).

There you go, Grampa. I've just uploaded the creme de la creme of my Iraq War images archive to the URL in post 71.

I will be adding to this as the operation progresses.
