Neither of my two daughters serve in the military.

That said, it hasn't been that many years since women were allowed to serve in combat roles in the military. History is not replete with tales of brave women on the battlefield. As bizarre as it sounds, stories like this are a perverted 'novelty'. The press is almost forced to cover it. Just an opinion ...
