Arab TV Shows Allegedly Captured Troops
.c The Associated Press
DOHA, Qatar (A) - The Arab satellite station Al-Jazeera aired footage Sunday of interviews with what the station identified as captured American prisoners, and also showed bodies in uniform in an Iraqi morgue that it said were Americans.
The station said the prisoners were captured around Nasiriyah.
In the interviews, two of the prisoners identified their unit only as the 507th Maintenance.
It appeared there were the bodies of at least four dead troops lying on the floor of the room. At least five Americans were interviewed, two of whom were bandaged.
The television crew then interviewed several of the troops, including one woman. The narrator provided an Arabic translation but it was possible to hear some of the comments in English.
``I come to shoot only if I am shot at,'' said one of the Americans, who said he was from Kansas, when asked why he was fighting Iraqis. ``They don't bother me, I don't bother them.''
Another prisoner, who said he was from El Paso, Texas, said only that ``I follow orders.''
A voice off camera asked: ``How many officers'' were in his unit.
``I don't know sir,'' the soldier replied.

We're sparing "innocent" Iraqis by endangering innocent American soldiers.

May God give these troops the strength and resolve to get through this ordeal and keep them safe. Please God be with their families as well.
To: libertyforall1
They could be human shields wearing the US uniforms that Iraq bought.
Hoping...

Al Jizzzie t.v. is broadcasting that U.S. troops have been captured and they will put p.o.w.'s on camera.
Sounds like propaganda to me.
Supposed unit 507th Maintenance Company.
Who is to say that Iraq isn't using some of their people as impersonators that don't appear middle eastern or perhaps people that were born and raised here but went back to Iraq.

Also -- Al Jazeera should be shut down tonight. They have chosen to rebroadcast this. It is a crime for the Iraqis to do it, it should be a crime to rebroad cast it.
THAT Includes you Fox.

FOX said the military is very interested in the tape and they said it is not inconsistent with it being U.S. military personnel. They are examining the tape and Fox won't run it until confirmation is made. Names were given on the tape.

I agree. Al Jerkzera is Terrorist Television. They should be treated as terrorist and taken off the air!

No. Don't shut down Al Jazeera. Their feed constitutes valuable information on the identities, condition and even possible location of the missing soldiers. If Al Jazeera wants to keep parading them in front of cameras, it will mean they won't be tortured badly or shot.
