It happened a lot in Vietnam.

Fragging was generally a means of changing commanding officers by soldiers expressing their dissatisfaction with leadership. It didn't involve collaboration with the enemy, or enemy participation. This sounds more like an enemy attack than an expression of low morale. Apparently, one of the enemy might have been an American soldier.
