Black Muslim US soldier is a suspect! ("10 U.S. Soldiers Hurt In Grenade Attack")

(CBS) Ten U.S. soldiers were injured, six or seven of them seriously, in a grenade and small arms attack at Camp Pennsylvania in northern Kuwait, reports CBS News Correspondent Mark Strassmann, who is traveling with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division.

Strassmann said the grenades were rolled into two commanders' tents at the camp. When officers ran from the tents, they were hit by small arms fire.

"From our reports it appears that a terrorist penetrated Camp Pennsylvania, one or more terrorists threw two hand grenades into a tent," said George Heath, spokesman at Fort Campbell, home base of the 101st.

Strassman said three suspects were being held for questioning, two Kuwaitis who served a translators and an American soldier described as a black Muslim.

The injured soldiers were rushed to a field hospital but military officials had no word on their conditions, Lt. Cmdr. Charles Owens said from Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar.

The military did not identify the unit of the 101st that was in the camp but said it had been in Kuwait for about one week. Most of the division has entered southern Iraq.

Separately, Strassmann reported, an Iraqi rocket fired at U.S. forces in Kuwait was destroyed by Patriot missiles launched from nearby Camp New Jersey.

The terror and missile attack came as the U.S. assault on Iraq gained steam. American and British forces besieged the southern city of Basra and pounded Baghdad with impunity. But tough fighting loomed for coalition troops as they pressed deeper into Iraq.

I think you're missing the real cause. It isn't the Islam. It's the COMMUNISTS right here in America that have taken their views and LABELED them as a sect of Islam. Just because you call something Islam doesn't mean it IS. Hitler tried that with Christianity and we *all* know how well that flew...like a lead brick. I've met and worked with highly educated, PEACEFUL Muslims. Believe me, there is a difference. What the "Black Muslims" call Islam isn't--it isn't any more Islam than Scientology is. The whole thing is a smoke screen for an anti-America campaign.

Retired Sgt. Kip Berentson, more than a decade ago, intuited that (beltway sniper) Muhammad might someday turn to murder. Berentson served over him in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. Neither one liked the other.

One incident in particular caused Berentson to conclude that Muhammad was a bomb ticking. Since the incident, involving a grenade, Berentson has kept a piece of paper with Muhammad's name and dog-tag number in his wallet.

"In the back of my mind," he said, "I knew our paths would cross. Like, 'Until we meet again.' "

When news broke of Muhammad's arrest Oct. 24 at a Maryland rest stop, a part of Berentson recoiled in terror; another simmered in guilt. He knew.

"That face has been in my mind for 11 years."

This reminds me of when black Americans were saying Colin Fergueson wasn't black, he was Jamaican. Black people don't committ mass murders (as if that helps all the other situations).

Maybe this soldier was black, and that would satisfy a lot of FReepers and spurn more discussions about muslims. If he's white, well no one will care except Jesse Jacskon. Maybe he's hispanic or mixed race, thus making EVERYONE's day suck.
