Thank you very much, Mr Legislator

Opinions Dear Mr. Arkansas Legislator:

First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my email. You are one of 5 who bothered.

I am sickened by the lack of attention on the part of legislators toward the citizens of Arkansas who voted for and placed them in office. I know email has become a battle ground of sorts.

Some people use it to jam their legislator's mailboxes full of rants about whatever strikes their fancy. Maybe that's why most of the 'elected officials' have chosen not to respond.

There are important things before us as a state as well as a nation. We must be sober and vigilant.

We must have clear, logical thinkers at the Capitol at every level. If we can't make logical decisions about how our state is to be run, or if we keep electing folks to high political office who can't think logically - Woe is us! I personally believe this to be the main problem with most judges who sit on the bench!

They make their decisions based on Case Law, which is Opinion, rather than on the Positive Law of the Constitution.

Opinions can change hourly - and they can be manipulated. Facts persuade. Feelings (opinions, 'I feel', and 'I think') manipulate.

Try this the next time someone asks you how you 'feel' or what do you 'think' about this or that:

Don't answer the question with "I feel" or "I think" ... Simply respond: "I know..."

You'll sense those words, "I feel" and "I think" aching to come out of your mouth. Bite your tongue! Don't say them! Just respond with "I know..."

After a while you'll get a sense of being un-manipulateable. You'll discern yourself becoming a WALL. It's a psychological defense measure against manipulative people who want to 'massage' you into their way of thinking!

Just try it and see what happens!

I told a few of you that I am not a home schooling parent. But if I do not defend other people's right to homeschool, then I am not defending my own right to homeschool, should I decide to!

My thanks to those of you who have responded in the agreement with me. I know that at least 5 of our elected officials are 'straight thinking' people!

Sincerely,

Charlene

Pass this on to you state representative and/or state senator, county reps and judges even. They ALL have the same problem in responding to the electorate.

Email from Democratic Party...

As Democrats Stand Up to President Bush; We Must Stand Up for Democrats

Dear xxxxxx xxxxxx,

Democrats are fighting every day for working families, standing up to President Bush and the Republican party on the issues that matter to all of us.

Democrats Speak Out on the War
As the military conflict begins, Democrats stand with all of America, united behind our troops as they bravely face the dangers before them.

In the months leading up to the conflict in Iraq, Democrats have spoken passionately about their concerns over President Bush's foreign policy.

Republican Hypocrisy at Its Worst
Predictably, Republicans have tried to use the impending military conflict to score political points.

As Democratic leaders led by Tom Daschle have fulfilled their constitutional duties by holding President Bush accountable for his actions, Republicans have responded with personal attacks that question the patriotism of Democrats.

Tell House Speaker Dennis Hastert and his fellow Republicans to stop their personal and hypocritical attacks on Senator Daschle. Click here to take action now!

The Republican hypocrisy is breathtaking. During the 1999 military campaign in Kosovo, dozens of Republicans criticized President Clinton's policies -- even going as far as criticizing the military campaign itself!

See the hypocrisy for yourself. Download our special PDF report: Republican Criticism During Kosovo Conflict. (The free Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.)

Read how Democrats are speaking out on President Bush's foreign policy: Democrats Speak Out on Iraq.

Democrats Stop the Extreme GOP Agenda
Democrats are continuing to stand up for working families. Just this week, Democrats scored two big victories over President Bush's domestic agenda.

Democrats again stood strong together and prevented, for the third time, one of President Bush's ultraconservative judicial nominees -- Miguel Estrada -- from joining the powerful DC Federal Appeals Court. Estrada continues to refuse to answer senators' questions about his beliefs.

And in a razor-thin vote, Democrats protected the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve from Bush and Cheney's special interest friends in the oil industry.

Do Your Part
Let your friends, family, and colleagues know that as Democratic leaders stand up to President Bush, we need to stand up for Democrats.

Fill out the form below to tell all your friends to take action and get involved.

This sounds so much like Terry McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton that it is unreal!
