SITREP as of 0330 GMT - Psyops, Iraqis approaching UN...
STRATFOR ^ | 20 MAR 03 | zimm

More evidence of supreme psyops strategy as indicated by Pentagon PUBLICLY acknowledging we are negotiating with Iraqi leadership. Even if we aren't, it will sew a web of doubt and entice others to depose. Gotta love this administration! Be safe... zimm out.

SITUATION REPORTS - March 21 2003 0306 GMT - There are an estimated 2,000 U.S. forces in the border town of Silopi, Turkey, according to Stratfor sources on the ground in Silopi, an Iraqi border town.

0301 GMT - Iraqi officials said March 21 they will ask the U.N. Security Council to respond to the U.S.-led war. They called U.S. attacks an illegal act by a "terrorist state." Iraqi Ambassador to the United Nations Mohammed Al-Douri said he doesn't know when he will call for a council meeting, because he wants first to consult with his government and other bodies.

0254 GMT - The Iraqi central military command has said its units on the Iraq-Kuwait border attacked "the dens of evil, treachery and tyranny" across the border at Ali al-Salem air base, Shuwaikh port, and Camp Doha in Kuwait, Iraqi state-run television reports.

0213 GMT - Pentagon officials say secret negotiations are under way between U.S. and Iraqi military officials, including with the Republican Guard.

SITUATION REPORTS - March 20 2003 2358 GMT - Stratfor sources at the Pentagon say that the current intermittent attacks against Iraq are designed to provoke a much-desired coup, flush out Iraqi command personnel and give covert forces on the ground an opportunity to strike.

I guess he will have to wait until the bodies are found.

He might have a little trouble finding them, but I assume we'll be listening in as he tries.

I don't believe he has one of those at the moment. He will soon. He'd best hope they're not in a hanging mood.

"a wretched hive of scum and villainy"

Are you referring to the UN Security Council or the Elysee Palace, where Chirac hangs out?

WHOA!!! I hadnt heard that we have troops in Turkey or anywhere near northern Iraq!! Some of the talking heads this Thursday evening were talking about how Turkey voted in its parliament today not only to grant US fly-overs...BUT TO ALSO MOVE INTO NORTHERN IRAQ, POSSIBLY THE OIL FIELDS. The talking heads were saying we dont have anything available to stop them. What's the deal here???
