I agree the U.N. is worthless, but I wan't to see which nations stand with us and which go on the Sh*t list.

I agree with you. I want the vote, to see who's who.
I want the vote so that people in each of the countries voting can see whether their leaders sided with Saddam or with the US, with terror or against.
I want to the vote so we know who do to business with and which countries might need their own regime change in the future.
I want the vote, because even 8 of 15 is still a victory of sorts.
I want the vote, because until you vote, the people on the sidelines are negotiating. Trying in effect to get bribes, for what should be a simple case of doing the right thing. The vote ends that.

It would be of some value to see who stands with us in a vote, but I am not sure it is worth it to do this or go to the UN at all ever because it seems to have harmed the morale among many people. It is difficult to see your home, your country dragged through the mud by third world nobodies for six months when you are trying to keep morale up.
At one point I would have thought it of great value to get a vote, but after all these months of wranglings and hatred of the US I don't think it is worth anything anymore.
Last time in 1991 the coalition with other countries caused us to pull back and not finish the job. We don't need any more of that either. All this dragging things out sort of looks like we might pull back again. I hope not.
