"Let us pull back from the brink of war and give peaceful solutions a chance to work," said a statement signed by more than 70 former lawmakers, all but four of them Democrats, and sent Friday to the White House. The Democrats are back to their McGovernite roots. Al From's got to be pulling on his combover.

"The opposition of the former members of Congress here is based on moral, religious and strategic reasons," former Massachusetts Rep. Robert Drinan said at a news conference. "It is the wrong war at the wrong time and for the wrong reasons."Really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, Drinan is a "pro choice" Catholic priest and a lefty of the worst kind. In addition to that he is a hateful human being.

The Dims have become the
blixiecrat party. They only support war under Democratic Presidents, and then only when they know he doesn't really mean it. They believe that inspections must continue until war is no longer possible, or until an incident that can become an election issue occurs, whichever is last.
Any war that will be successful, and which will increase the popularity of a Republican President must be obstructed at all costs, even while pretending to support the troops or the goal. The ultimate point of politics is to gain power, not to protect America and provide for its welfare. Blixiecrats.
