Chris Chandler is the (elusive) name of the NFL football player. I don't remember his team, but he graduated from Everett High the same year that my son graduated from Snohomish High.

Hey, you're doing great. The only thing I would add is that Seattle is the only place I've ever been where the weather forecasts use the term 'sunbreak.' That should give a clue as to the normal weather. ;)

Everett is the Snohomish County seat, instead of the charming town of Snohomish, because the early pioneers captured the county records in the middle of the night and took them to Everett and refused to bring them back.

I suppose every small town has it's own historical roots that's worth preserving. IMHO, people need to make an effort to help their children develop an appreciation of such things.

another Pacific Northwest expression that always cracked me up is, "The mountains are out today." You had to live there to understand.

Everett is also the gateway to Stevens Pass and Snoqualomie Falls -- two great ski areas.
